Signing in only requires an email address. We send a one-time code to that address and verify it — there is no password to create or store. The signed-in session is kept as a token on your device; we do not collect your name, phone number, or any other profile information through the app itself.
While officiating, the app records what you enter or tap: bib numbers, timestamps, splits, scores, results, and any disqualification or challenge notes. This is performance data about event participants, tied to entries that already exist in timeCapp+ for that event — the app is the capture tool, not a separate database of its own.
To keep working when a venue has no signal, the app keeps an offline cache on your device (a local SQLite store) and syncs it to timeCapp+’s servers once you are back online. That cache holds only the event data described above.
Solely to run live scoring and timing for the event you are officiating, and to make results available on that event’s timeCapp+ leaderboard — the same outcome the event’s organizer and its registered participants already expect from taking part in a timed competition.
Captured results become part of that event’s record on timeCapp+ and are retained under the same policy as the rest of the event’s data — they are not deleted just because the app is uninstalled. The on-device offline cache is cleared once a sync completes.
All traffic between the app and timeCapp+’s servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Session tokens live only on your device’s local storage, not in the captured event data itself.
timeCapp+ Judge is built for adult event staff and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children through this app.

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the update.
